The idea that we should vote for former Gov. Larry Hogan to represent Maryland in the U.S. Senate because he is a maverick who is trying to distance himself from both political parties (“Senate Republican campaign chief calls Larry Hogan a ‘maverick’ while GOP megadonors embrace his candidacy,” July 31) is a total smoke screen….
