BURLEY, ID — A 76-year-old man from Heyburn died after a single-vehicle rollover crash Sunday on Interstate 84 near Burley. Idaho State Police said the wreck happened just after 2 p.m. at mile marker 206, about two miles west of the construction zone at the State Highway interchange.
The driver was heading east when the 2024 Land Rover Defender left the left shoulder, struck an embankment and rolled. He was wearing a seatbelt and was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.
How the crash unfolded
State police said only one vehicle was involved in the wreck. The report places the crash on I-84 in southern Idaho near Burley, in the stretch of highway west of the ongoing interchange construction.
Investigators said the vehicle drifted off the roadway before impact. No other injuries were reported in the crash.

Idaho State Police said it is investigating the rollover. The agency has not released any additional details about what may have caused the driver to leave the roadway.
At this stage, the public report does not identify any other vehicles or contributing factors. The crash remains under review by state troopers.
Separate motorcycle crash reported
In a separate incident, Idaho State Police reported a motorcycle crash Saturday afternoon in Post Falls. That wreck happened around 5:45 p.m. on State Highway 41 at Mullen Avenue.
Troopers said a 46-year-old woman turning north onto the highway lost control and fell from the bike. She was taken to a hospital with injuries.
